Typescript autobiographical sketch of Colvig; includes his family's trek from Parksville, Platte County, Missouri (May 5, 1851) to Portland, Oregon (October 1851). Describes the large train the Colvigs headed west; upon reaching the Green River the party split off with some traveling to Salt Lake, while the rest continued on to Oregon.
